The Icelandic Film Makers Association (FK)

Founded 1966

The Icelandic Filmmakers Association is the umbrella association for filmmakers in Iceland and guards their interests, copyright- and other related issues.

FK is organised around the various professions belonging to filmmaking, such as cinemaphotography, editing, sound, direction, production, etc. Even though the association is not a union, it works on union issues as contract issues, but vast majority of Icelandic filmmakers are independent.

Association of Icelandic Filmmakers is open to all professionals within the filmmaking industry.
